Mr. Mohammad Nazmul Islam is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and researcher in the Department of Pharmacy at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). His research expertise spans diverse areas, including phytopharmacology, neuropharmacology, molecular biology, drug design, and development. The Vice-Chancellor's Best Research Award 2022 (Science) recognized his outstanding contributions to research. In 2023, Mr. Islam achieved a significant milestone by securing a special research grant from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Bangladesh, becoming the first recipient of such a grant at IIUC.

Mr. Islam completed his Master of Pharmacy (Thesis) from the State University of Bangladesh and earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy from the International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh. He is a Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh. Prior to his academic career, he gained industry experience as a Senior Product Executive at a renowned pharmaceutical company. Furthermore, he has actively contributed to his professional field as a committee member, demonstrating his commitment to advancing pharmacy and research.
