Engr. Saifur Rahaman is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU), Hong Kong SAR. He was a NE PhD Research Fellow in MGH at Harvard Medical School and Graduate Research Fellow at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard at MIT campus, Cambridge, Boston, USA. He received his BSc in Engineering (2010) and MS in Engineering (2012) from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of computer science and engineering at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) and a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong. He has published many research papers on bioinformatics, cancer genomics, expert systems, machine learning, and biomedical engineering. His current research interests include not limited to computational intelligence in bioinformatics, new techniques, tools, and methods for bioinformatics, machine learning, cancer genomics, computation in therapeutic cancer treatment, computational biology, biomedical informatics, clinical decision-making, detection, and prediction models. He was an associate editor of Computational Genomics in the Frontiers in Genetics journal (2021 – 2024).
