IIUC EEE Students Achieve International Success in Higher Education and Research
EEE students from IIUC's Materials Research and Simulation Lab (MRSL) secured NIMS Junior Researcher position, MEXT Scholarships, and other international scholarships.

Students and researchers from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) have achieved remarkable success in international higher education and research, largely driven by their work in materials research and simulation. Mohammad Yasin Hayat Khan, a researcher at the Materials Research and Simulation Lab (MRSL), has been selected as a NIMS Junior Researcher at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. In addition, four students: Md. Tarekuzzaman, Md. Raihan Kabir, Md. Hasin Ishraq, and Nowshin Tabassum, have received the prestigious MEXT Scholarship in Japan. Meanwhile, Abu Sayed Taief has been awarded the Freshman Scholarship at Nanjing Tech University in China, and Saiful Islam Rana has secured a scholarship at Ontario Tech University in Canada. These achievements have been fostered by MRSL's research-friendly environment, international collaborations, and the guidance of the lab’s Chief Patron, Dr. Md. Zahid Hasan, alongside Md. Rasheduzzaman from the EEE Department. Between 2023 and 2026, more than 70 research papers affiliated with MRSL were published in international journals, with a significant number featured in high-impact Q1-ranked and Scopus-indexed publications.
