Economics & Banking Club IIUC Organizes "Reduce, Reuse, Refuse: Protect The Planet" Programme

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. The Economics & Banking Club, IIUC successfully organized the "Reduce, Reuse, Refuse: Protect The Planet" programme today, 21 June 2026, with the aim of raising environmental awareness and promoting a cleaner and greener future. The programme was graced by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hasmat Ali, Hon'ble Pro Vice-Chancellor of IIUC, as the Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Hon'ble Treasurer of IIUC, as the Special Guest. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Sirajul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences; Prof. Dr. Shariful Haque, Chairman, Department of Economics & Banking; Prof. Monir Ahmed, President, Economics & Banking Club; Prof. Dr. Arif Billah, Vice President, Economics & Banking Club; Associate Professor Jasim Uddin; Assistant Professor Joynal Uddin; Lecturer Md. Amranul Hoque; and Assistant Professor Amzad Hossain, who also accompanied the students during the beach visit. As part of the programme, students and club executives conducted awareness activities on environmental protection and actively cleaned plastic waste and litter from the beach areas, promoting responsibility towards nature and sustainability.
